Nilesh Modi has held a wide range of positions during his 27 years with Reliance Industries Ltd, India’s largest private sector company. He currently works in the Chairman’s Office and leads development of the company’s overall healthcare platform. He previously served as Chief of Staff for the CEO & Executive Director of Reliance’s oil and gas business.
His extensive experience includes strategic and business development initiatives spanning polyester, energy, EV and mobility, agriculture, and education. He led teams to establish the Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution in partnership with the World Economic Forum.
Nilesh evaluates opportunities for investments in visionary start-up companies and was instrumental in establishing the partnership agreement between Reliance and Health Alliance Global. He is also on the Board of Strand Life Sciences Pvt. Ltd, an investee company of Reliance Group.
Nilesh has presented at various management colleges for Reliance and served on the Grand Jury panel for the “The Ultimate Pitch” conducted by Reliance at top tier B-Schools. He also served on the AIM Alumni Association Executive Committee and was responsible for membership development. He is currently the executive member of the Young Bombay Forum (YBF), an arm of the Bombay Chamber of Commerce & Industries, and has served as their Chairman of Social Development Initiatives.
Mr. Modi earned a degree in Electronic Engineering from Pune University; a Masters in General Management & Strategy from Asian Institute of Management, Manila; and an MBA from Kellogg School of Management, USA and HKUST, Hong Kong.
